Try plotting your weight over the holiday season to see if you can observe a meanful trend over time for that period. A more useful approach may also be to correlate your change in weight with your exact caloric intake and amount of exercise. This will give you a good measure of how your body responds to various levels of activity and food intake, but keeping meticulous track of all this information is totally not worth the effort:)
